Full Cycle Woodworks is a family-owned business started in 1986. President Ron Highsmith is the son of a union finish carpenter who was raised with a love for woodworking and an immense respect for trees. Ron and his family started their business with sawmills, expanding into dry kilns when they first built a 3,000 board foot kiln, then later a 10,000 board foot kiln.

In 1995, Full Cycle purchased the former Rock Hill School property in Hawkins County, TN. This 9.75 acre tract with three buildings totaling over 17,600 square feet has allowed Full Cycle Woodworks to offer a millwork facility specializing in tongue and groove flooring, paneling and custom moldings. With this expansion, Full Cycle Woodworks has completed the cycle, which now includes logging, sawing, kiln drying and manufacturing.
